Shirt: Maroon with white stripes, maroon trim, V-neck short sleeves.

Badge: City of Manchester coat of arms with 'WEMBLEY' above and '1956' below.
Fully embroidered with applique backing.

This final is probably best remembered for the injury to Footballer of the Year Bert Trautmann.

Don Revie's last competitive match for Man City and he only played because Bill Spurdle had a problem with his boils.

Why City played in this shirt is a mystery as Birmingham City had already agreed to play in white.

The referee was Alf Bond, the one-armed ref.

During their cup run, Manchester City conceded only one goal - and this from a team remembered for its attacking qualities!

Leicester's Peter Rodrigues missed a sitter during the final but went on to captain Southampton in 1976.
